It's fun to experiment. Sometimes an experiment produces a wonderful surprise and leads to entirely new ideas for design. Sometimes the result is just plain awful and produces a totally butt ugly creation. Here's some of our perhaps funny, but definitely not attractive, results:

Camouflage Starfish

I thought it might be interesting to try casting a radical mix of colours. Plus. I had a bunch of odd lot scraps to use up. The result is what you might see if a starfish decided being a single colour made it too easy to be seen by predators so opted to apply makeup to camouflage itself.

Christmas Starfish

I've been getting great results casting small bits of assorted dichroic glass into pods for jewelry cabochons and been getting great results casting various colours into glass starfish. It seemed reasonable to try bringing those two successes together and cast dichro bits into a starfish. The resulting atrocity looks like something a 4 year old made as a craft project from assorted metallic Christmas wrap.
