This class requires a basic ability to cut glass and is not suitable for first time beginners.
Yes, you can weave glass. This class will teach you how to make glass mold strips to create woven glass in a variety of designs from simple linen pattern weave to intricate multi-level tartans. You will make a 6” x 12” woven tray using stainless steel molds specifically designed to weave glass.
Instructions include how to slump different glass to create the slumped components and the kiln firing schedules needed to create a finished project.
This is NOT a class for someone that has never done any glasswork before. Help will be provided but you MUST be able to cut strips of glass with reasonable proficiency. In the first class, you will prepare the weave strips. In the second class you will complete the weave ready to be slumped into a tray.
